Wireless access (W@SP) was down for approximately 15 minutes due to a networking hardware malfunction.

TimeWarner equipment on-campus is suffering from power-outage-related problems. Internet1 and Internet2 -related connectivity will be impacted until it is resolved.

Hardware failure related to the power outage caused data networking on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Dunn to be unavailable a bit longer. All clear.

Users may see a message asking for username, password, and date of birth, purporting to be From: “The State University New York at Potsdam” DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL with any information whatsoever. More information forthcoming.

Due to “phish” related spam attack, there will be delays in sending and delivery of email.

Webproxy and Printing services required restarts due to a power anomaly in the datacenter.

At 4:21AM, a cable problem partitioned two critical parts of the server network, rendering half of the host services invisible to the campus. All clear.

The admin campus network experienced an approximately hour-long network outage due to a hardware failure. All connectivity should be re-established at this point. Anyone experiencing connectivity issues should attempt to reboot their computer first.
