Status Announcements

The CTS tracking system will be down for the next hour as it is migrated to new hardware.

Helios was down from 11:45 until 12:30. All clear.

Inter-Library Loan services (Illiad) will be unavailable on Tuesday May 20th as the service will be undergoing scheduled maintenance.

BearPAWS/HR Web Time Accounting are back online.

BearPAWS and HRweb are experiencing problems. We are looking into the problem.

Banner, BearPAWS, and HRweb will have brief service interruptions from 4:30-5:00pm today (5/12/08) as those services are migrated to a new version of the Application Server.

The campus wireless network was temporarily off-line due to a networking hardware malfunction.

Blackboard experienced a system malfunction and required that the application be shutdown for approximately 5 minutes in order to rectify the situation.

A component of the Blackboard application experienced a system fault and required a restart of the application.

We are currently processing large amounts of outgoing spam, a result of accounts that have succumbed to recent phishing scams. If any user has recently responded to any email asking for their account credentials, they should immediately change their password at http://account.potsdam.edu. If a user falls into this category but does not change their password, their bearmail account and mail may be at the mercy of spammers who can do what they wish with it. If CTS detects malicious activity, the account password will be scrambled.
