Helios experienced a fault and required a reboot. System back online.
Storage maintenance complete. All systems are back online.
Many campus services will be going offline at approximately 3:30AM the morning of September 10 while key storage components undergo a two hour maintenance window. This includes: Helios, WWW, Mail (POP/IMAP), and BearPAWS.
Blackboard will experience intermittent application-level outages between 22:00 (10 PM) and 23:00 (11 PM) this evening in order to facilitate application updates. Users should expect interruption of existing sessions during the maintenance window.
Tonight, between 11:00PM and 11:30PM, Internet and Internet2 connectivity to administrative and academic systems may be interrupted to facilitate maintenance.
Routing between the wireless network (W@SP) and the rest of the campus network was down for approximately 10 minutes due to a network electronics issue. The affected piece of electronics was rebooted and service restored.
Time Warner will be rebooting some routing equipment at 2AM Monday morning. Interruption of Internet connectivity is expected to last approximately ten minutes.
A malfunction in critical core network equipment segmented several portions of the campus, disrupting access to campus hosted services as well as Internet connectivity. The outage lasted approximately 60 minutes while the problem was isolated and equipment replaced.
[RESCHEDULED FROM MONDAY] Starting at 11:00pm tonight, Internet and Internet2 (R&E) access will be sporadic as connectivity equipment is upgraded. The window is scheduled for 2 hours.
