All printing was backlogged when a number of massive jobs filled the spooling areas on the campus print server. These have been cleared and all printing should be functioning again.
As of 17:35 on 10/15/09 all voice mail services have been restored. Message Waiting Lights (MWI) are now working properly as well as services utilizing voicemail.potsdam.edu
As of 12PM on Thursday, October 15, 2009 “On-Line” Voice Mail Services are still down. At this time we do not expect them to be restored before 8am on Friday, October 16, 2009. Thank you for your patience while we work diligently to restore this service.
On-Line Voice Mail Services using voicemail.potsdam.edu will be unavailable until approximately 12 Noon on Thursday, October 15, 2009. We experienced an unexpected system failure and are working to restore services.
The systems responsible for campus voicemail will be undergoing a brief maintenance window at 11PM.
Technicians have resolved the problem causing widespread authentication problems. The issue causing problems logging into Windows systems was temporary during the wider fix, and has also been resolved.
Reports of slow authentication have been confirmed. Some services may time out. The problem has been identified.
The scheduled maintenance affecting domain services and Zeus admin interface has been completed. All services are once again available.
Tonight from 22:00-23:00 (10:00 pm – 11:00pm), domain login services will be unavailable to facilitate system maintenance.
