At this time updates to the various service authentication issues are as follows: BearMail: RESOLVED. BearPAWS: NOT RESOLVED, in progress. SUNY Secure Login e.g. Portal, HR, etc: NOT RESOLVED, assessing.
Our trouble ticketing system has been restored. Unfortunately, any problem reports entered on January 7th were lost. We ask that users who had reported an issue on the 7th please resubmit their request. Issues reported on the 8th and 9th which have not yet been resolved are being logged into the system and you will receive the automated RT emails as confirmation shortly after.
Many user accounts are reporting as unavailable or not existing. This is affecting many login services such as the previously reported BearPAWS issues as well as, but not limited to, other services such as BearMail and Moodle. Technicians are aware of the issue and working towards resolution.
Users attempting to access BearPAWS are receiving a “not authorized” message. CTS is investigating.
All voice mail services have been restored. Thank you for your patience while services were being restored.
Voice Mail Services are currently unavailable. We are aware of the problem and are working to restore services. At this time there is no estimated time for service restoration.
On January 8th, from 11pm and lasting until 6am, we will be replacing critical portions of our network electronics. All campus hosted services – including SoGo, Moodle, Helios, and telephony – will be affected. Network access on campus will be sporadic at best during this time. Please note that this outage has been extended until 6am due to extenuating circumstances. Please plan accordingly.
Logins to SUNY Secure sites are currently failing with an “unable to load page saml.potsdam.edu”. CTS is looking into the issue.
RT, our ticketing system for tracking problems, is currently down. If you have an open issue with us resolution will be delayed as we are unable to access your problem details. If you are attempting to report an issue with the self-service portal, your report may not reach us until the system is restored.
