[RESOLVED] Multiple service outage
A network storage issue caused a service interruption to a handful of core services this morning. These services included www/www2 & Moodle. At this time all services should be functioning normally.
A network storage issue caused a service interruption to a handful of core services this morning. These services included www/www2 & Moodle. At this time all services should be functioning normally.
Web services hosted on www and www2, Moodle, and Helios file sharing will be unavailable this evening/morning beginning at midnight and lasting for approximately 2 hours. This maintenance window is necessary to facilitate the replacement of malfunctioning hardware.
Unforeseen problems with the Moodle upgrade resulted in a significantly protracted outage. While far from ideal, ultimately the maintenance was completed successfully. Engineers apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
Moodle will be unavailable for approximately 15-20 minutes this evening at 22:00 (10pm) to facilitate an upgrade of the Moodle software.
Beginning at 00:00 this evening/tomorrow morning, there will be short rolling service outages among a variety of CTS services. Affected services include but are not limited to www/www2/assorted web services, RT tracking system, Moodle, & BearPAWS/Banner Forms.
The maintenance concluded successfully and all shares are back online.
Last minute storage maintenance requires Helios shares to be taken offline. Window expected to be two hours.
Banner/BearPAWS/HR Time Accounting will be down for approximately an hour and a half this evening beginning at 22:00 (10 pm) to facilitate system maintenance.
As of 16:56 on 01/12/13 all authorization codes used to place long distance calls have been restored and are working. Please contact the TelCom Office by emailing telcom@potsdam.edu or call us at X3000 if your authorization code is not working. Thank you again for your patience while this issue was resolved.
As of 10:52am on 01/10/13 all SUNY Potsdam long distance authorization codes have been deemed invalid by Windstream. All calls requiring a seven-digit authorization code are being denied at this time. We are working with the vendor to resolve this issue. Incoming calls are not affected. Thank you.
